Mackintosh

Charles Macintosh (it's not a typo, the k was added later) invented the process of rubberizing cotton in Glasgow in 1823. In 1895 the company, which later became Mackintosh (with a k) was established, using the fabric to manufacture raincoats. And such was its success that mac is in our lexicon as the generic term for a waterproof.

Mackintosh A/W'17 will be available in our Winchester store soon.
