It has taken quite some time, and not a little determination, to get French footwear Paraboot into the building. Jumping through the hoops to prove we are acceptable retail partners wasn’t a stretch. But production at the family owned factory in Saint Jean de Moirans is limited and distribution has to be restricted. This season marks the launch of Paraboot at The Hambledon.

Founded in 1908 by Remy Richard, it remains a family business, with a keen sense of its heritage. These are Norwegian welted rubber soled shoes, manufactured originally to serve workers who demanded waterproof, durable and comfortable footwear. Para (from the port in Amazonia from where the rubber is imported) Boot (from the English word). Key styles for this season: the iconic Michael, the Avignon, the Reims and the classic Malo deck shoe.
